CALGARY, Alberta - The Flyers recalled 6-foot-2, 220-pound defenseman Davis Drewiske from the AHL's Phantoms on Wednesday, and there is no word if he will play Thursday in Calgary.
The Flyers sent winger Chris Connor back to the Phantoms. Connor was recalled earlier in the week and did not play in any games.
Drewiske, 30, who has played parts of five NHL seasons with Los Angeles and Montreal, gives them insurance in the last two games of the road trip.
Defenseman Evgeny Medvedev is being examined in Philadelphia Wednesday for an undisclosed injury.
Drewiske was signed as a free agent on July 1.
