VANCOUVER, B.C. -- With Pierre-Edouard Bellemare out for a few weeks with a lower-body injury and on the injured reserve list, the Flyers had an open roster spot to fill their maximum 23-man roster.
And with only around $673,000 in cap space, their options on who to recall from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms - their AHL affiliate - weren't aplenty.
On Sunday morning, the Flyers announced the recall of veteran forward Chris Conner from the Phantoms.
With center Sean Couturier (concussion) not on the trip, there's a chance Conner sees game action during the remaining four-game, Western Canada portion of this current five-game road trip.
