The Philadelphia Flyers are starting to shed the players they don’t consider as part of their final roster. On Monday, they cut nine players and reduced their roster down to 31 players. Now on Tuesday, they did so by another pair of players.
According to the team, the Flyers have put goaltender Cal Petersen and forward Tanner Laczynski on waivers. If cleared, both players will be sent down to the AHL on Wednesday.
This could be part of some larger roster-wide cuts, but as of right now, all we know is that these two players are on waivers and most likely will not be part of the Flyers’ training camp for much longer.
