It’s a brand new calendar year, and the Flyers are back with a brand new piece of injury news. Flyers General Manager Danny Briere provided an update on goaltender Sam Ersson this evening, who’s officially out day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
Injury update: Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson is day-to-day with a lower body injury.

This injury came, one would assume, as a result of a play in the second period of last night’s game in San Jose, when Ersson was run into by Sharks forward Luke Kunin, and he did not return to the game for the third period, and was replaced by Aleksei Kolosov for the final frame.
