Flyers prospect Matvei Michkov officially arrives in United States

Ladies and gentlemen, the eagle has landed.

Or, rather, the Flyer has landed.

Prized Philadelphia Flyers prospect Matvei Michkov officially arrived in the United States Tuesday morning. Michkov, dressed in Flyers gear and sporting a Phillies cap, was greeted at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City by general manager Daniel Briere and president of hockey operations Keith Jones.

The Russian phenom hinted at his imminent arrival to the U.S. Monday morning, posting a photo of himself sitting on an airplane to his Instagram story. Kevin Kurz of The Athletic later reported Michkov would arrive in the Philadelphia area sometime Tuesday.
