A lot of people felt underwhelmed when the Flyers selected Elliot Desnoyers in the fifth round of this year’s draft, and now those people are feeling very, very silly.
For the second time this season, Desnoyers scored four goals in a single game for the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Facing off against the Charlottetown Islanders on Friday, Desnoyers buried a goal just 22 seconds into the game to give Halifax the early lead. He followed it up with another goal late in the opening frame and completed the hat trick early in the middle stanza.
