Coming off of picking three defensemen within their first four picks in the 2019 NHL Draft, the Philadelphia Flyers chose another offensive player in Egor Serdyuk at 165th overall and a goaltender in Roddy Ross at 169. I’ve mentioned in previous mocks drafts that the Flyers needed to add a goalie to their system, and General Manager Chuck Fletcher and Assistant GM Brent Flahr finally addressed it late in the process.
Serdyuk had a stellar year in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) as a rookie. the 5’11, 165-pound Russian winger netted 65 points (25 Goals, 40 Assists) in 63 games with the Victoriaville Tigres while scoring six in 11 playoff games as well.
