The team announced Jeff Reese's successor on Friday morning, as Dillabaugh was officially hired away from the Los Angeles Kings.
The Flyers officially named Kim Dillabaugh their new goaltending coach on Friday, a week after reports had emerged that they were the "favorite" to land his services last week.
Dillabaugh has spent his time over the past decade or so working with the L.A. Kings at the NHL level, as well as the Kelowna Rockets in the WHL. He oversaw goalie development with the Kings in that time, and given the number of quality goalies we've seen on the Kings the past few years, it's easy to be optimistic about what he can bring to the team following the (somewhat controversial and) unexpected departure of Jeff Reese last March.
