The Flyers might be playing a pressure-filled season finale Sunday if Steve Mason didn't make a game-changing, first-period save Saturday in the playoff-clinching, 3-1 win over Pittsburgh.
The Penguins, despite playing without most of their stars, came close to taking a 2-0 lead, but Mason made an acrobatic glove save on Kael Mouillierat's point-blank shot.
"I remember we scored right after, and I was like, 'This goal's on you, you made a great save,' " captain Claude Giroux said. "It kind of gave us a little confidence.
