In a word, this news is utterly “remarkable.” On Wednesday, December 11th of 2019, the Philadelphia Flyers announced that Oskar Lindblom was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma. Today, July 2nd of 2020, Lindblom completed his cancer treatments. For the 23-year-old forward, this is the greatest victory. He walked down the hallway of Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center for the final time and rang the bell.
Oskar Lindblom spoke with the host of “Flyers Daily,” Jason Myrtetus, after his last visit at Penn Medicine. In speaking with Myrtetus, Lindblom stated what prompted him to get checked out by a specialist.
