Jake Voracek did much more than score for the Flyers in Thursday night's win over Florida.
Voracek was creating chances all game, with his new center, Valtteri Filppula, and left winger, Brayden Schenn.
In the shootout, in which teammate Jordan Weal also scored, Voracek didn't waste much time, and was very assertive. He didn't worry much about attempting to fake out goalie James Reimer. His low shot from the slot made Voracek 5 for 9 in shootouts this season.
"If I come in with speed and if I have the confidence in that shot, if you find the right spot, it usually goes in," Voracek said.
