The Philadelphia Flyers are not making a qualifying offer to goaltender Carter Hart. The goaltender will now be an unrestricted free agent on Monday and will no longer be part of the Flyers organization. This news ends any speculation as to what the team would do regarding Hart and his contractual status.
While the team has until 5:00 p.m. ET to make qualifying offers to their restricted free agents, to retain their NHL rights, word got out before the deadline that the Flyers will not be sending one to Hart.
