We have made it. We have weathered the horrible storm of exhibition hockey and can see the light which is the regular season. Games that actually matter. Games that might be more enjoyable and have more effort put in by everyone. Games where we feel like watching them (up until the Flyers are knocked out of the playoffs).
All we have to do now is watch one last preseason game. Sixty more minutes of players playing for things that don’t really matter right now. And this final preseason game might end up being the least enjoyable. Because at least in the early period of the preseason, we were seeing prospects play on NHL ice, getting their time in and seeing how they link up with players on the actual roster.
