Flyers-Bruins recap: Overtime is fun, but blowouts are better

While the Philadelphia Flyers have done their best to milk every last minute out of the preseason thus far, sending four out of six games into overtime, sometimes a good old-fashioned blowout is much more entertaining.

That’s exactly what the Flyers were able to pull off against the Bruins Thursday night, winning by a convincing score of 5-1. Here are some observations from the victory:

  • The powerplay finally woke up! The PP2 unit was responsible for both goals, with Travis Konecny and Sean Couturier exchanging slick passes for deflections near the net.
