Here’s a lesson for all Philadelphia sports teams - don’t give your fans items they can throw.
During the Flyers embarrassing loss to the Capitals Monday night, angry fans lost control and threw the free light-up wristbands they were given onto the ice, leading to a penalty.
Inquirer reporter Sam Carchidi has the details:
With 7 minutes, 43 seconds left, there was an all-out brawl and fans - unhappy with the penalties that were accessed - heaved at least 50 glow-in-the-dark wristbands, which were handed out before the game, onto the ice.
