The Flyers defenseman was reportedly arrested after a traffic stop in Montgomery County.
NBC 10 and Sons Of Penn are reporting that Flyers defenseman Evgeny Medvedev was arrested early Wednesday morning in Lower Moreland for suspicion of driving under the influence.
According to NBC 10, a Lower Moreland Police chief told the station that Medvedev was arrested at around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday after a traffic stop. He's apparently been released from police custody.
The news broke shortly before team general manager Ron Hextall gave his end-of-season press conference at the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees. At that press conference, Hextall was asked about the reports but did not respond to them, saying he didn't have any information about the situation.
