Coming into the 2019-20 season, the Flyers were supposed to be incredibly deep at the center position. Sean Couturier, Kevin Hayes, Nolan Patrick, & Scott Laughton were the starting centers for the Flyers. The Phantoms had guys like Morgan Frost, German Rubtsov, even Mikhail Vorobyev waiting in the wings.
What ensued was a bit of a headache, pun intended.
Nolan Patrick was diagnosed with a migraine disorder. To this day, fans still don’t know when to expect the 2017 second overall pick back in the lineup. Scott Laughton injured his hand October 26th against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
