We are now set to begin round number two of the Flyers’ World Cup of Hockey as Canada make their tournament debut. Canada will square off against Finland, who defeated Russia by a score of 99-46.
In net for the Canadians will be Bernie Parent, taking on Antero Nittymaki for Finland. He’ll have to contend with a fearsome line of Claude Giroux, Bobby Clarke, and Eric Lindros, but could Finland pull off a historic upset? They’ll have to rely on the speed of Sami Kapenen and the scoring of Ilkka Sinisalo.
