The Minnesota Wild have claimed forward Chris Porter off waivers from the Flyers. Philadelphia waived the veteran on Wednesday, and he scored a goal in the Flyers' preseason game against New Jersey last night.
Now, he's packing his bags for St. Paul. That airport sucks, by the way. The Flyers had hoped to get him to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, where he surely would have been a big piece of that team. Now, he's still fighting for an NHL job.
Colin McDonald, also waived by the Flyers on Wednesday, cleared and will presumably sent to the Phantoms.
