Coming off of an impressive shootout victory over the Boston Bruins on Sunday, the Philadelphia Flyers will return to their home ice to take on a Metropolitan Division rival in the Washington Capitals for the first time this year. The Caps took the season-series from the Orange and Black in 2018-19, sweeping the Flyers four games to none. Philly will hope to get their first victory over Washington since March of 2018, where they beat the current Eastern Conference leader 6-3.
The Capitals certainly won’t make it easy, though. They enter this in-division matchup leading all NHL clubs in even-strength and total Goals For by a wide margin, racking up 57 and 76 goals in each category.
