Despite leading 1-0 after the first period, and holding two-goal leads twice after the midway point of the second, the Philadelphia Flyers dropped a crucial game on Tuesday night at the Wells Fargo Center to the New Jersey Devils. With the victory, the Devils moved within two points of the Flyers, with a game in hand, as the Metropolitan division playoff races gets heated up.
Travis Konecny got the Flyers on the board early with a beautiful goal on the rush, on an even prettier cross-ice, backhand pass through the neutral zone from Claude Giroux to set up the goal.
