On November 16th, Paul Holmgren will take his rightful place in the Flyers’ Hall of Fame, joined by fellow inductee Rick Tocchet. It is an honor befitting a man who has been a member of the organization from almost the very beginning; drafted by the Flyers in 1975, he played for the Flyers for nearly a decade before he retired. He then rejoined the organization, holding nearly every position in an NHL front office, from coaching staff to General Manager to President.
But before we get to watch Paul’s induction into the Hall, he’ll be behind the bench again coaching against Iron Mike Keenan in the upcoming Alumni Game, which will be played November 15th at the Wells Fargo Center.
