Like many other Flyers fans, Daniel Briere was almost in tears late in the first period of game 7 on that historic night in Boston on May 14, 2010.
The Flyers had fought their way back from a 3-0 series deficit and were trying to become the first team since 1975 to complete the comeback in its entirety.
But the Bruins had other plans to start the game. After two power-play goals, one by Michael Ryder and another by Milan Lucic, Boston had seized control of the game at TD Garden. Five minutes later, Lucic sent the home crowd into a frenzy, turning a Flyers turnover into an odd-man rush that ended with him sliding the puck under Flyers goaltender Michael Leighton.
