After being run out of the building by the Washington Capitals on Wednesday (although they did make it interesting at the end), the Philadelphia Flyers put together a nice margin of victory of their own, beating the New York Islanders 5-2 at the Nassau Coliseum on Saturday night.
Jakub Voracek had a phenomenal game, registering a couple of assists while also finding himself amidst a controversy thanks to a “reverse hit” that injured Johnny Boychuk early in the third period.
While it wasn’t the cleanest play, Jake was assessed a five-minute major, and then was still the subject of a few embarrassing attempts at retribution by the Islanders, none of which were particularly effective against the deceptively strong winger.
