As we wrote last week, Allentown’s PPL Center has bid and now won the honor of hosting the Midwest Regional of the 2018 and 2019 NCAA men’s hockey tournament.
Allentown, Pa. is obviously not the midwest, but ... well, this is the NCAA we’re talking about. The West Regional will be held in Sioux Falls, S.D. in 2018, with the East and Northeast Regionals held in Worcester, Mass. and Bridgeport, Conn. In 2019, Fargo N.D., Manchester, N.H. and Providence, R.I. will host the other three regionals. Penn State will serve as the host of the regionals in Allentown each year.
