With 4:22 remaining in the third period of the Philadelphia Flyers’ matchup with the Utah Hockey Club on Sunday, Morgan Frost may have stamped his ticket out of Philadelphia.
The Flyers were on a pivotal power play in what was at that point, a hotly contested one-goal game. Jamie Drysdale, who had goal disallowed earlier in the contest due to Travis Konency making contact with Utah goalie Jaxson Stauber, dropped a “slingshot” pass to the oncoming Frost in order to try to capitalize on the quickly expiring man advantage.
It is a very routine play, one that happens multiple times on nearly every power play.
