For those of us ancient enough to recollect banal TV shows of the late 1970s, you will recall Eight Is Enough.
However, if we’re talking about goaltenders, eight is too many. Way too many.
When Cam Talbot made his Philadelphia Flyers debut March 1 against the New Jersey Devils, he became the eighth netminder to guard the Philly cage this season. That’s a new standard for the most goalies used by one team during an NHL season.
The Flyers are still looking for a goalie ... and once again looking like a team that will miss the playoffs.
