The 2020 NHL Entry Draft is in the rearview, and now the busiest week of the NHL’s unprecedented offseason is about to get a whole lot busier. Free agency is here, and starting at noon, all 31 NHL teams will be able to sign unrestricted free agents.
Free agency should be particularly interesting for the Flyers. They already had holes to fill at center and on defense, but with the unexpected retirement of Matt Niskanen, Chuck Fletcher and company may attack free agency far more aggressively than expected when the Flyers’ season ended at the hands of the Islanders last month.
