If you thought Dale Weise was underwhelming in his first year with the Flyers last season after signing a four-year contract in free agency, the bar might have been set too high. Weise was often a healthy scratch for coach Dave Hakstol in 2017-18, playing in just 46 games on the season with most of them coming at the start of the season before watching his lineup spot given away to the likes of Matt Read, Taylor Leier, Jordan Weal, and Oskar Lindblom, among others.
