was well on his way to an eighth Pro Bowl selection as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, which would have tied Pro Football Hall of Famer Chuck Bednarik's franchise record, until he suffered a torn ACL and MCL in Monday night's win over Washington.
His season is over as the team placed him on Injured Reserve. Taylor Hart was re-signed to take Peters' spot on the roster.
Hart was originally drafted by the Eagles as a 3-4 defensive end in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. In 2015, Hart played in 14 games with one start and registered a career-high 30 tackles.
