The Eagles announced that they signed four players to the roster on Thursday: quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, cornerback Aaron Grymes and wide receivers Seantavius Jones and Xavier Rush.
The 27-year-old Bethel-Thompson finished the 2015 season on the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad. He has never appeared in a regular season game. In the 2015 preseason with Miami, Bethel-Thompson completed 61.8 percent of his pass attempts for 244 yards. He originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the 49ers in 2011. He spent time with Miami in 2011 and the Vikings in 2012 before being re-acquired by the 49ers in 2013.
