What the signing of John Moffitt means for the Philadelphia Eagles

On June 25, the Philadelphia Eagles signed retired guard John Moffitt. Now, signing players out of retirement has been done before, but it is usually not too common given their age and ability to play the position anymore. However, the odd part about Moffitt is that he is only 28, has been out of the league since the middle of the 2013 season, and has now been signed to the team known around the NFL for its fast-paced practices requiring physically fit and athletic players.

Moffitt was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third-round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Wisconsin, and started for the franchise up until week-thirteen where he suffered an injury against the Baltimore Ravens.
