It has been one hectic week in Philadelphia sports; Jay Wright’s Villanova Wildcats finally won that elusive NCAA Championship, the Philadelphia Flyers are in a wicked playoff push and Philadelphia Sixers GM Sam Hinkie, Mr. Trust the Process himself, stepped down.
Hinkie’s departure sent “Philly Sports Twitter” into a rage. Some were confused as to why he was ousted before he could fully unleash his vision, and others were dropping the confetti in celebration that he was gone. The word “assets” has been frequently thrown around in conversation about the Sixers’ rebuilding process, but many are misguided as to what the meaning of the word is.
