Andre Dillard left Eagles practice early on Tuesday after getting up slowly during a 1-on-1 drill early in the session. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport later reported that the Washington Stare product had suffered a knee sprain and is now listed as week-to-week.
This is an obvious blow to the third-year tackle, who was in the midst of locking horns with Jordan Mailata over the LT1 role. The Aussie appeared to be getting the better of Dillard, only amplifying the blow of this injury. If he misses a few weeks that include preseason play, not only does this give Jordan Mailata all of the starting reps, but it pretty much gifts him the starting role.
