Former Eagle and Super Bowl LII champion Vinny Curry shared some sad news on his Instagram today. Curry, who is currently on the Jets, will miss the entire 2021 season after being diagnosed with a “rare blood disorder,” per his post:
Dealing with something of this severity is scary and goes beyond just your typical football injuries.
Curry, who turned 33 in June, played eight of his nine career seasons in Philadelphia before signing with the Jets on a one-year deal worth $1.3 million back in March.
Yes, Curry will be out this season, but here’s to hoping he can rebound and continue on with his NFL career come 2022.
