Lost in the Philadelphia Eagles‘ whirlwind offseason has been defensive tackle Vinny Curry. Curry, who racked up nine sacks last season, is entering the final year of his rookie contract. Defensive linemen rarely make for good headlines during the offseason (sorry Jason Pierre Paul) so it’s understandable why Curry has not garnered the press releases. Once the pads come on August 1st however, Vinny Curry will be looking not only to improve on the field, but financially as well.
Known primarily as a pass-rusher in college, Vinny Curry has fit perfectly into defensive coordinator Billy Davis’ system, despite playing only 32 percent of the snaps last season.
