As training camp begins, there has been a ton of debate. The off-season began with questions about who will start at quarterback. The cornerback position is still up for grabs. There may not be anyone who knows how this team will line up at receiver.
One position that hasn’t received the same amount of fanfare is kicker and it’s understandable as to why. Kickers don’t receive the same amount of hype as other players but they are a vital part of any team’s roster.
The two kickers vying for a spot on the Philadelphia Eagles’ roster are Cody Parkey, who started each of the last two seasons before getting injured in week 3, and Caleb Sturgis, who started the remainder of the 2015 season once Parkey went down.
