When the Philadelphia Eagles signed wide receiver Torrey Smith, he was expected to be the veteran leader that they haven’t had in past seasons. Although we knew he wasn’t the same player from his successful stint with the Baltimore Ravens, we still expected him to be a major upgrade on the offense.
Through four games, Smith has been limited to 10 receptions for 134 yards and zero touchdowns. He has had multiple dropped passes on his 19 targets that were clearly catchable. It is clear that quarterback Carson Wentz does not shy away from throwing Smith the ball.
