Well, it was fun while it lasted. In the end, wide receiver Torrey Smith’s tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles would only last for one season, but seeing as how that season was one of the best in franchise history, Smith will never be forgotten by Eagles fans. On March 9th, 2017, he was signed to a three-year, $15 million contract that had second and third year options. On March 9th, 2018, he’d be traded to the Carolina Panthers for cornerback Daryl Worley.
The move surprised no one, seeing as how the Eagles had salary cap concerns, but he’ll be missed by both teammates and fans.
