The Intangible: Locker Room Chemistry

Maybe it's an overrated and mismatched notion that great chemistry in an NFL locker room can translate to wins on the field, but maybe it isn't. Leadership, trust and a unified sense of purpose seem to be the most important characteristics for success.

"Looking back on the 2004 season when we went to the Super Bowl," former Eagles safety Brian Dawkins said recently on a pass-through in Philadelphia, "we had a team of brothers. We worked together and we trusted each other. We had each other's back. It was a special group and I definitely think that that way we felt for each other, the way we sacrificed for each other, helped us win the NFC.
