You likely won’t be seeing many, if any, of the Eagles’ season-opening starters in Thursday night’s final preseason game against the Jets. But that doesn’t mean the game is totally meaningless.
There still are several roster jobs up for grabs, including the No. 3 and 4 safety jobs behind starters Malcolm Jenkins and Walter Thurmond, and the No. 3 quarterback job.
“We feel real confident with Walter (Thurmond) in with Malcolm,’’ coach Chip Kelly said Monday morning. “But we still have to figure out who our third and fourth safeties are. It’s still a big question mark going into Thursday’s game against the Jets.
