The Eagles begin spring workouts today and while Tim Tebow is expected to be in attendance once he signs a contract, the team will be missing Evan Mathis.
The left guard, who has been the subject of trade rumors and has it made it clear that he wants a new contract, won't be attending the start of the workouts, a NFL source said. While the practices are voluntary, the Eagles are likely to have near perfect attendance. Mathis' long-term plans are unknown. He is under no obligation to show up at the NovaCare Complex until mandatory minicamp from June 16-18.
