Source: Eagles to hire North Carolina's Gunter Brewer as wide receivers coach

The Eagles are set to hire North Carolina’s Gunter Brewer as wide receivers coach, a league source said Monday.

Brewer has been the Tar Heels’ co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach, and his previous stops include Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, and Marshall. He has never coached in the NFL.

Inside Carolina first reported that Brewer was taking the Eagles’ job.

Brewer has an extensive resume working with wide receivers, including Randy Moss at Marshall and Dez Bryant and Justin Blackmon at Oklahoma State. He coached Eagles receiver Mack Hollins while with the Tar Heels; Hollins, a 2017 fourth-round pick, might become a starter in 2018.
