The Philadelphia Eagles waived depth quarterback Ian Book on Tuesday afternoon, according to an official team announcement.
This news is a positive development as it relates to the expected availability of the Eagles’ quarterbacks. If the team was seriously worried about not having Jalen Hurts and/or Kenny Pickett for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, they probably wouldn’t have waived Book when they could’ve kept him around to be the emergency QB.
There’s been some concern about Hurts’ status since he’s yet to clear the concussion protocol since getting hurt in Week 16.
