Security measures in and around Lincoln Financial Field were stepped up for the Philadelphia Eagles game on Sunday in the wake of a series of terrorist attacks that rocked the city of Paris two days before.
The Philadelphia Police Department increased its presence at the sports complex to make sure officers were "visible to all and ensuring safety," according to a statement provided by a police spokeswoman.
Social media postings from the stadium also indicated a heightened law enforcement presence, with fans sharing photos of Philadelphia police SWAT and Homeland Security units stationed around the area before the game began.
