It’s happened.
The Philadelphia Eagles and quarterback Sam Bradford have officially agreed to a two-year deal worth $36 million with $26 million guaranteed.
On paper, that sounds like a lot of money to be giving an injury-prone, middle-of-the-road quarterback. However, this is a team-friendly deal that actually makes sense for both Bradford and the Eagles.
The deal is short-term, so if Bradford doesn’t end up being the quarterback the team was hoping for, the Eagles won’t be in too big a hole.
This deal also gives Bradford two years to prove that he can be more than just an average quarterback.
