“You’ll believe a man can fly.”
In the minds of Eagles fans, there was no ceiling on how much Chip Kelly would revolutionize the NFL.
After going 20-12 in his first two years as the Eagles’ head coach, he swung a trade for former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Sam Bradford with the belief he would revitalize his career.
I was skeptical of the trade initially, but, like many, MANY Eagles fans out there, I bought in on August 29, 2015.
That was the Eagles’ third preseason game that season. After winning their first two, they smashed the Packers 39-26, including a wild first quarter that saw the Birds build a 25-0 lead.
