Neither Bill Davis nor DeMeco Ryans can guarantee that Ryans and his repaired Achilles’ tendon will be 100 percent by the time the Eagles open their season, Sept. 14 in Atlanta.
Davis didn’t say so, but this might have played at least a small part in the team’s decision to sign Mychal Kendricks to a four-year, $29 million contract extension on Monday.
“You know, I don’t know. Those are tough injuries to get 100 percent,” the Eagles’ defensive coordinator said yesterday. “He’s ahead of schedule, he’s ahead of where most guys would be with that. I think it’s going to be close.
