The Philadelphia Eagles have made a lot of noise this offseason, whether it be signings or trades. One of the most intriguing situations have come at the running back position.
Ryan Mathews signed with the Eagles on March 12, then just a few hours later Philadelphia agreed to terms with last season’s rushing champion DeMarco Murray.
These acquisitions give this NFC East squad two runners that have starter’s capability and go along with the new running mates is Darren Sproles.
Murray is the definitive starting running back for Philadelphia and speculation is that Sproles will be the third down and change-of-pace back, seeing how he has made a living at being the small burst of speed coming out of the backfield.
