Philadelphia Eagles' second-round pick Eric Rowe has emerged as a front-runner for the Eagles' nickel position after he continues to get significant work with the first-team defense.
Rowe had a strong preseason opener against the Colts forcing a fumble from first-round WR Phillip Dorsett, while playing tight coverage consistently.
"I like the way Eric is learning how to be a pro," cornerback Byron Maxwell said, via PhiladelphiaEagles.com.
"It takes some time. You have to be patient and know that you're going to make mistakes. It's just going to happen. It's a hard job. You're going to give up plays.
